Hey, I’m Douglas Light. Chances are you’ve been influenced, informed, or inspired to action by my writing at some point in the last fifteen years. Whether I’m working with a powerhouse Fortune 500 corporation or a scrappy start-up, I help successfully develop and grow brands, build client and consumer relationships, and elevate the employee experience through traditional and digital initiatives. I’m proud of my work. But I’m more than just a stellar copywriter and strategic creative lead dedicated to crafting effective, engaging B2B and brand messaging. I am also defined by my personal experiences, which include:

· Swimming the entire three-mile length of Carter Lake in northern Colorado

· Receiving the O. Henry Prize for my first published short story

· Earning the rank of Eagle Scout

· Writing the screenplay for a film starring an Academy Award winner

· Cutting more than two minutes off my PR on “Chicken Dinner,” a local mountain bike trail

· Launching a national literary magazine that’s published National Book Award authors
